Service & Repair

Whether your bike needs a complete overhaul, or just a flat repair...

Our Bicycle Service Center

Whether you need your derailleurs adjusted, a broken spoke replaced or a complete overhaul that makes your bicycle run and look even better than new, we're bike repair experts with the experience, knowledge and factory training to do the job right the first time, every time.

We've prepared this chart to provide a menu of our common bicycle services and repairs. Please contact us any time. Or, even better, bring your bike in to discuss your bicycle issues and find out which package or service is appropriate. Estimates are always free so you'll get the information you need and can decide how to proceed. Also, if you need immediate or rushed service to be ready for that big ride or event, please ask, and we'll do our best to fit you in (express service charge may apply).

If you’re going to run some errands while your bike's being fixed, just give us a number where we can reach you in case we have any questions. Thank you!

Tune-ups and Overhauls

What is the difference between a tune-up and an overhaul and when should they be performed? A tune-up should be performed once a year and possibly twice if you have been riding more than 2500 miles in 6 months or less. An overhaul should be performed every two years or if your bike has been ridden in extreme wet weather conditions.

Basic tune-up is $70.00 and includes brake and derailleur adjustments, lube chain, tighten crank and pedals. Our full tune-up includes simple wheel true; drivetrain clean and lube; adjust brakes, derailleurs, headset and hubs; torque all bolts to spec; wipe down frame and test ride the bike. Paragon's charge for all this is $130.00. Any parts needed will be additional.

An overhaul includes having the bike taken down to the bare frame, all parts cleaned in an enviromentally safe Smartwasher, frame cleaned, wheels trued, all bearings checked and greased as needed, rebuild the bike with new cables and housing included. Paragon's charge for all this is $295.00. Tandems and mountain bikes with suspension servicing will incur addiional charges. If you have had your bike for awhile, you do not notice the gradual changes to performance over time and having an overhaul done will make you notice a big difference in the quality of ride that you have missed.

Tire and tube replacement

Tire and tube replacement is what bike shops do the most. Our charge to replace either a tire, tube or both on the same wheel is $12.00. Tubes prices start around $8.95 for a standard tube to $19.95 for a heavy duty tube. Tires will start at $18.95 for a small kids bike tire and go up from there.
